Welcome to Boccia South Australia
Boccia is a skilful, exciting and strategic sport that was developed specifically to cater to people with varying levels of physical impairment. Providing pathways through to Paralympic competition, Boccia is a truly inclusive sport that can be enjoyed by all!
Boccia South Australia was formed in 2012, following significant development of the sport, thanks to Boccia Australia’s community engagement program and support from the Australian Paralympic Committee and the South Australian Office for Recreation and Sport.
New clubs were created across the metropolitan and outer metropolitan area, with players able to attend weekly sessions with a coach.
Boccia South Australia oversees the competition programs, including the State Titles, Pairs and Teams events. The association also coordinates the state representative team to compete at the Boccia Australia National Championships.
Boccia SA is run by a committee of volunteers, assisting with the daily administration and operations of the association, including the coordination of the Talent Squad.
Boccia SA is affiliated with Boccia Australia, and adheres to the rules and regulations as directed by BisFed, the international Boccia Federation.
